Airbrush sprays a fine mist that sits in an extremely thin layer. It is beautiful on smooth, well-prepped skin and it lasts through heat and long ceremonies.
HD formulations are built to diffuse light so high-resolution cameras do not read texture. They can be applied by hand or by gun.
Dry or textured skin usually photographs better with a hand-applied HD base. Oily skin in a summer wedding usually prefers airbrush. Your artist should be choosing based on your skin, not on price tiers.
